Video Transcript & Textual How-to
Introduction
Hello, folks, welcome to another WyzeTribe training video. My name is Melanie McSally. I will be your instructor for this video. In today's video, we're going to go over how to grant access to your YouTube account.
Disclaimer
Standard disclaimer applies, please do your due diligence to make sure it's safe to share access to any of your personal or business assets.
How-to Steps
Please note, step 0 is not in the video, but we need your account to be a brand account in order to hook it up to our automation tools.
Once your YouTube account is a brand account, please follow complete these steps:
Step 1: Okay, I am going to go ahead and share my screen which is just blank for now, we're going to go to youtube.com.
Step 2: Click on your icon in the left hand side.
Step 3: Click YouTube Studio I believe.
Step 4: Scroll down and click settings and the left hand side
Step 5: Click permissions, click manage permissions.
Step 6: Google will require you to log in again. You want to log into the Google account associated with your business; not your free gmail account.
Step 7: Click the person icon in the upper right hand corner
Step 9: Choose Manager as the role. Note: Do not choose owner because that means that you would be giving away rights to manage users of your account, which means that somebody could remove your access which you obviously do not want.
Step 10: Click this Invite button. Note: If you have not verified your Google account, there'll be another step to do that, which usually means that you have to verify both your email address and your phone number. So you'll need to do that first and then come back and do this process.
Note: if we give you a different address to grant access to please use that address instead and do the same exact process.
Okay, hopefully this has been helpful and I will see you in the next training video.
